Contact us at [email protected] HistoryTh Prince Edward Branch #81 Ladies' Auxiliary was formed on Dec. 4, 1930, and it wasn't until 1944 that lady veterans were allowed in the Legion. Due to the work of President Dick Webb, lady veterans were allowed to join the Legion. At that time, the Padre, who didn't agree with ladies in clubs, discontinued his service. A Salvation Army Padre took over and things improved dramatically and lady veterans were allowed to join the Legion. We have come a long way since that time.
Our membership has been dwindling over the past few years and we would give a "rousing" welcome to any new members. We need new members to help with the Saturday meat draw, veterans luncheons, and any other functions we might participate in. We also need people who are willing to take positions on our executive.
Sharon Walker is the President effective January 1, 2022.
The Ladies' Auxiliary meets at 7pm on the first Tuesday of every month September through June.
MembershipMembership in the Ladies Auxiliary to The Royal Canadian Legion, Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario Command will be open to a woman:
