Originally, membership in the Royal Canadian Legion was restricted to war veterans only, however eligibility and categories of membership have evolved over the years. You now do not have to be in the service to join. The Legion members consist of veterans, service, ex-service men and women, associate and affiliated members who gather for Comradeship, to continue to help grow the commitment to Remembrance and support those serving and those that have served and to promote community service, while striving for peace, goodwill and fellowship for all. Membership options are as follows: Ordinary Member (Veteran) Associate Member Affiliated Member All applications for membership are subject to the General By-Laws of The Royal Canadian Legion and approval by the local branch to which the application is made. Membership dues are paid annually. You can mail in your dues along with a self-addressed and stamped envelope. We do accept e-transfers, please send to [email protected] we will be pleased to mail your membership sticker to you. Once you receive the membership sticker, please apply it to the back of your membership card. If you have a Digital Card, once your dues are processed you will receive a new email app to replace the older version. Please ensure that we have your most current mailing address, phone number etc. on file. We will use this information to update our files at the branch and Dominion Command. Some of our members have not been receiving their Legion Magazine, Pins and correspondence from our office or from Dominion Command, due to incorrect mailing address and/or phone number. Please email the branch at [email protected] with and changes Membership recruit. 2024/2025 We are looking for new members to join The Prince Edward Legion #81. Please come on down and check out what the Legion has to offer. To join this year and enjoy benefits of being a member, go online and you will be charged only for the remainder of 2024. Your membership supports Legion activities and allows you to enjoy involvement in the community, opportunities to volunteer on different committees and meet new people. Membership application / transfer forms are located at the front desk by the membership daily draw sign in sheet. Please submit updated information to bar staff or office staff. With all the sporting activities and Special Events that take place at the Legion there will most likely be something that will interest you.
